GSC welcomes anyone with an interest in German Studies including professors, graduate students, academics, University language departments, and professionals in political science, history, cultural studies, applied linguistics, musicology, art history, and education.

Supportive

We support our members by sharing syllabi, participating in various committees, sharing our expertise in research areas, publishing bulletins, journals, and directories, facilitating communications through Listserv, and sharing job ads.

We balance tradition with innovation by being at the forefront of conversations in our field while celebrating our decades as an established and respected organization.

Engaged

We demonstrate our passion for German Studies and stay connected with our members through regular communication via Listserv, bi-annual publications, professional journals, and through our annual conference.

Membership

The GSC-Membership includes the right to vote at the Association’s Annual General Meeting, the right to give papers at the Association’s annual conference, a subscription to the Association’s well-regarded scholarly journal Seminar, and access to publications such as the Bulletin and Directory of German scholars in Canada.
