Job: Limited-Term Appointment for Assistant Professor of German at Saint Mary’s University
The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at Saint Mary’s University invites applications for an eight-month contractually limited term appointment in German at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting September 1st, 2019. We are seeking an individual with a primary scholarly profile in German Intercultural Studies, German as a Second Language Education, and/or contemporary German literatures and cultures, and a demonstrated record of effectiveness in teaching German language at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in departmental service and play the lead role in delivery of the German program. Experience promoting and delivering study abroad will be considered a strong asset.
Applicants must hold a PhD in German or a related discipline, have previous experience teaching German, be fluent in German and English, and able to deliver courses in both languages.
