Job Ad: Limited-Term Appointment in the Department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics in German at Concordia U

Apply until May 3, 2021, for the Limited-Term Appointment in the Department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics in German at Concordia University. This position is subject to budgetary approval and need, and is full-time, normally at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2021 and ending May 14, 2022. Individuals holding limited-term appointments may be granted a subsequent appointment, given continued funding and need, as well as satisfactory job performance. Together, initial appointments and subsequent appointments may not exceed 36 months or a span of three consecutive years.

Qualifications and assets

The successful applicant will be required to teach courses in modern German language, literature and/or culture, and to coordinate the German language program. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in German and proven excellence in teaching. Program coordination experience is an asset. Experience with online/remote instruction is desirable.
